ELIZABETH FINKELSHTEYN
Principal, Studio Director
As Principal-Studio Director, Elizabeth directs FXFOWLE's Urban Studio. In addition to her studio management responsibilities, she also has had a key role on many of the firms most prestigious projects.
Elizabeth was the Senior Technical Architect for the New York Times Building, the 1.5 million square-foot high-rise office building recently completed in Times Square and is now serving as a Technical Advisor for the Eleven Times Square office tower, currently under construction on the adjacent lot. She also served as Project Director for the mixed-use development Archstone Clinton, which comprises two 300-unit residential towers and two off-off Broadway theatres. The project received LEED Certification from the USGBC.
Additional projects include Northside Piers & Palmer's Dock in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn at 164 Kent Avenue, and technical oversight of a new LEED Platinum certified Headquarters Expansion for SAP outside of Philadelphia. Elizabeth’s recent projects include the Landmark Tower in Washington, DC; Hudson Mews, a new 750,000-square-foot mixed-use complex designed to extend from West 36th to West 38th Streets between Ninth and Tenth Avenues; The Helena, a LEED Gold high-rise apartment building on Manhattan's West Side; the 48-story Condé Nast Building at 4 Times Square; and the 855,000-square-foot Reuters Building at 3 Times Square.
Elizabeth received her Master of Architecture in 1976 from the University of Dnepropetrovsk Polytechnic Institute in the Soviet Union.
