GEORGE HELLMUTH, AIA, LEED

Director, Mid-Atlantic Region

George Hellmuth recently joined FXFOWLE as Director, Mid-Atlantic Region, after a 35 year career at the architectural firm HOK. He is based in the Washington DC area.

From 1974-2007, George held several key positions at HOK. After joining the firm’s Washington DC office in 1982, he continued as Senior Principal, directing and executing regional marketing efforts, and leading practice activities with management and design senior principals. His additional leadership roles throughout his tenure, included Marketing Principal (New York) from 1977-1982, Financial Management/Management Consultant (St. Louis) from 1971-1976, and Marketing and Management Principal (Saudi Arabia) in 1974.

George earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architecture from Yale University in 1964 and a Bachelors in Architecture from City College, City University. He is a registered architect and a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council.
