Associate Principal

Stephan Dallendorfer joined FXFOWLE in 2005, and was named an Associate Principal in 2011. Throughout his 18-plus year career in the industry, he has served as Senior Designer, Project Manager and Project Director for a range of diverse projects, including airports, bridges, infrastructure, residential, institutional, cultural, schools, as well as ports/piers, and commercial facilities.

Stephan's recent experience has focused on high-end residential projects. He is currently Project Director for the Rudin West Village residential development in the Greenwich Village historic district, and for the HealthCare Chaplaincy's new palliative care facility in Manhattan, a 180,000-square-foot mixed-use project combining residential, medical, and educational components, being designed to achieve LEED Platinum. Stephan recently completed the design of a 170,000-square-foot, 25-story mixed-use residential tower in New York's Union Square neighborhood, designed to achieve LEED Silver. Additional residential experience includes the Isis, Griffin Court, Hudson Hill, The Onyx, The Oculus and The Indigo condominiums.

Stephan was the Project Director for a 900,000 square-foot Destination Retail Complex in Red Hook, Brooklyn. He was also a member of the design team responsible for a one million square-foot mixed-use residential development on the Williamsburg waterfront. Stephan was Project Manager for the master plan "Nordhavnen: City Regenerative," a redevelopment plan for Copenhagen's Nordhavnen peninsula, which set a new standard for low-carbon consumption and is the recipient of the 2010 MIPIM/Architectural Review Future Project Awards, and the 2009 World Architecture News (WAN) Urban Design Award. Stephan was a Designer for the Greater Noida Housing Master Plan which won a 2008 MIPIM/Architectural Review Future Project Award, Commendation.

As a Lead Designer, Stephan's past experience includes the award winning Vesey Street Pedestrian Bridge at the World Trade Center Site and The Tallman Island WCPC, which won the 2005 Arts Commission Awards.

Stephan received a Master of Architecture in 1994 from Cornell University. He is registered with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and LEED Accredited by the US Green Building Council.
