The Golisano Institute for Sustainability will create a living laboratory for the research and development of sustainable industrial processes and building systems. Lab space, the main component of this new facility, will provide users with the space necessary to research issues such as how to improve the process of manufacturing and “re-manufacturing.” The facility will be equipped with the capabilities for experimentation, testing, and prototype manufacturing. The goal for this project is to create a world-renowned institute that improves sustainable processes and is a beacon for innovation. High-performance materials will be used for this facility.
