Maritime City will be virtually an entire new city with Maritime facilities, education, commercial, residential, and retail complexes. The project is comprised of two basements, a seven–story podium with four stories of offices on three sides, and a 39–story office tower. The total floor area is approximately 1.1 million square feet. Rising directly from the ground surface, it takes the form of three layers of sails curving up and billowing as if filled with wind. The tower’s orientation is in an east–west direction, minimizing direct sunlight exposure and maximizes views to the adjoining waterfront and main avenue vistas. Sustainable guidelines will be incorporated to achieve a LEED Gold Rating.
