FXFOWLE’s master plan for the historic Navy Brig site is intended to serve as a cornerstone for the rebuilding of a strong and vibrant Wallabout community located opposite of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The plan includes three affordable residential buildings, a transitional housing center, four-story market rate town houses, a visual arts center, a day care center, retail space, parking, and a shared central green space. Sustainable aspects will include green roofs, efficient heating and lighting systems, sustainable building materials, and green facades. The project is being designed to achieve a LEED Silver Rating.
