On a downtown site that gained newfound viability with the completion of FXFOWLE’s Bausch & Lomb Corporate Headquarters, the Finger Lakes Blue Cross/Blue Shield building completed a dynamic urban ensemble. Sited in a designated historic district, BCBS is adjacent to Frederick Law Olmsted’s Washington Square Park, historic St. Mary’s Church, and the Genessee River. The six-story brick and glass office building and underground parking garage are high-performance, sustainable buildings which have contributed to the regeneration of downtown Rochester.
