The Island Ferry Terminal will be at the heart of what will become an extensive ferry system for the Dubai Creek, providing public access to the island, in addition to the proposed Opera House to the south. The structure itself will provide auxiliary programming in the form of a mooring station for pleasure craft and a restaurant. The ferry terminal was configured with the metro station for Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Crossing to seamlessly integrate with the proposed island’s design and to do so using current sustainable technologies, materials and practices.
